Terms of use

Last updated: November 1, 2026. These terms cover the Evenchores app, Evenchores in a browser and this website. By using them you agree to these terms. How we handle your data is in the privacy notice.

Who we are

We are Evenchores. Questions? Write to support@evenchores.app.

Using Evenchores

Evenchores is for people 13 and over. You don't make an account: on your own, everything stays on your phone.

Sharing a home

  • Anyone with your home's invite link can join it. Share invites only with the people you live with.
  • Everyone in a home sees its chores, names and shopping list, and can check off chores, change them, remove people and ask for the home to be deleted. A deletion waits 30 days, and anyone in the home can call it off.
  • A home can have up to 10 people and 500 chores.
  • Only add what you're happy for the others to see. Don't use Evenchores to harass anyone, or to store anything unlawful or anything that isn't yours to share.

Plans

Using Evenchores on your own is free. Sharing a home needs one plan, bought by anyone in it, and it covers everyone in that home. Plans are sold by Google Play: Google takes the payment and handles cancellations and refunds under its own rules, and we never see your card.

A plan goes with the person who bought it (their Google account), not with a home. It unlocks the home that person's phone is in, one home at a time. If they move to another home and restore the purchase there, the plan moves with them and the old home goes back to free until someone there buys a plan.

  • Monthly and yearly renew automatically until canceled. Cancel any time in Google Play (Subscriptions); the plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. A free trial, when offered, turns into a paid plan at its end unless you cancel before.
  • Lifetime is a single payment, with no renewals. It covers sharing for the buyer's home for as long as Evenchores runs the service. It's the life of the product, not the life of the buyer. If Evenchores is sold, the new owner takes over the Lifetime plans. Like the other plans, it goes with the person who bought it.
  • If a payment is refunded or reversed, the plan ends.

When a plan ends, sharing pauses: each phone keeps its own copy and keeps working on its own, and the browser view stops until someone renews.

Changes to the service

We work to keep Evenchores running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change or remove features. If we ever stop running the shared service, the app keeps working on each phone; only sharing between phones stops.

Limits

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to your last payment for Evenchores: one month if you pay monthly, one year if you pay yearly, or the Lifetime price.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date.
